Akowe is a Yoruba keyboard application developed by NovaSecIT LTD (Company No. 12721678, England and Wales). This policy explains how Akowe handles your data across all platforms: Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Data That Stays on Your Device

Akowe processes all keyboard input entirely on your device. The following data is created and stored locally:

• User dictionary — words and phrases you type frequently are learned to improve suggestions. This data is stored in a local database on your device.
• Bigram data — word pairs are stored locally to improve next-word predictions.
• Theme preferences — your chosen keyboard theme is stored in local app settings.
• Auto-tone predictions — tone prediction runs on-device using a local model. No text is sent to any server.

Data We Do Not Collect

Akowe does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Keystrokes or text you type
• Personal information (name, email, contacts, location)
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports
• Advertising identifiers
• Data from other apps

No Network Communication

Akowe does not make any network requests. The app functions entirely offline. There are no servers, no APIs, and no cloud services involved in the operation of the keyboard.

No Third-Party Services

Akowe does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

Data Storage Locations

All data is stored in platform-standard locations accessible only to the Akowe app:

• Android — app-private internal storage
• iOS — App Group shared container (com.akowe.keyboard)
• macOS — ~/Library/Application Support/Akowe/
• Windows — %LOCALAPPDATA%\Akowe\
• Linux — $XDG_DATA_HOME/akowe/

Deleting Your Data

Uninstalling Akowe removes all locally stored data, including your user dictionary and preferences. On most platforms, you can also clear the user dictionary from within the app settings without uninstalling.

Children's Privacy

Akowe does not collect any data from any user, including children. The app is safe for use by people of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Since Akowe does not collect contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
